Marvin Jones III Talks About Black Lightning Being Authentically Black

You may know him as Marvin Jones III, or Krondon, or even Tobias, but however you refer to the main antagonist of the first two seasons of Black Lightning, you should know that he is incredibly proud to be a part of this show.

"I'm very proud if you can't tell to be a part of it," Marvin told The Jam's Brandon Pope with a big smile on his face. And he wasn't shy to tell us just why it is that he feels that way.

"We (Black Lightning) speak for a community and a demographic that is not being spoken for"

Marvin says what Black Lightning is able to do in representing different perspectives is very unique compared to the slew of other television shows out there today.  He also commends the show's executive producer for Black Lightning's dedication to giving voice to those that are voiceless.

You can catch Marvin talking about the upcoming season of Black Lightning this Friday morning on The Jam.

Black Lightning returns for its third season on October 7th and you can catch it on Chicago's new home for The CW, CW26.
