Game of the Week Returns with Fall 2025 Sports Broadcasts
This fall, The U continues our decades-long tradition of bringing the best in local high school sports to Chicago viewers with 18 live events this fall. The 2025 season starts by highlighting girls’ sports, including a Chicago Public Schools volleyball doubleheader and the second season of the IHSA Girls Flag Football State Finals.
Plus, it's not fall without football! Catch the top high school football games of the season, including the annual Mount Carmel-Loyola game, and IHSA playoff games on Saturday, November 15 and Saturday, November 22. Then on Thanksgiving weekend, we will showcase the IHSA Football State Finals, which will be produced and televised throughout the state by Weigel Broadcasting for the fourth consecutive year in partnership with the IHSA and its digital broadcast partner, the NFHS Network.
Leading into our highly-anticipated IHSA coverage will be the IHSA Football Playoff Pairings Show - the only place to see the reveal of the IHSA brackets in Classes 1A-8A on The U, Saturday, October 25, at 8P.
