Game of the Week Returns for Fall Sports
It’s fall y’all, which means it’s time for The U and The U Too’s unparalleled coverage of your favorite local Chicago high school sports teams. This year, Game of the Week features boys football and the CPS boys soccer Championship, the highly-anticipated IHSA State Football Quarterfinals and Semifinals as well as the IHSA’s first season of girls flag football.
The U will carry two IHSA Girls Flag Football Semifinal games and the first ever State Final game from Willowbrook High School on Saturday, October 19.
The Boys Football action kicks off this season on Game of the Week with The U Too’s first visit to Huntley High School, as Huntley hosts #6 ranked Cary-Grove on Friday, October 11. Next, watch the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) boys soccer championship Wednesday, October 16. Additional Game of the Week football matchups include Lyons at York and local powerhouses Loyola at Mt. Carmel.
IHSA State Football Championship coverage begins with the IHSA Playoff Pairings Show on Saturday, October 26, followed by playoff games on November 16 and November 23. Thanksgiving weekend, The U and The U Too are again the flagship home of the IHSA Football Championships from Illinois State University November 29-30. This year will include coverage of the 50th season of IHSA football.
