State Police ‘Instrumental’ In Helping Chicago Catch Armed Robbers
Chicago has seen a 24 percent increase in robberies citywide through mid-September when compared to last year, with many concentrated on the Near West and Northwest sides. State Police have been “instrumental” in helping Chicago officers catch armed robbery suspects in part due to less stringent pursuit policies, a police sergeant told neighbors a community meeting Monday night.
