Uncertain Future for the Chicago River Swim
The Chicago River will potentially be open for swimming again to public for the first time in 100 years. The non profit "A Long Swim" are organizing the event and are working to get proper permits from the city. If successful than 500 selected applicants will be able to participate in the Chicago River Swim on September 22nd. All proceeds will go toward ALS research at Northwestern University and swim lessons for 2,000 at-risk youth.
